Jane Goodall

Jane Goodall was born on April 3, 1934 in London, England. Do you know that Jane Goodall has her own institute that helps chimps? The institute helps the chimps by making a caring and healthy environment for them. Jane Goodall started to study chimps when she was 26. Tanzania was her first place to go and study them. Jane Goodall has two homes. One is in Kenya and one is in England. Her nationality is British. She is known for the study of chimps. Jane Goodall got interested in being a chimp’s best friend by reading the book of Dr. Doolittle. Jane Goodall was married twice. In 1964 she married Hugo van Lawick. They had one child named Hugo, just like his father, but he is actually known as Grub. He was born in 1967. Then Hugo and Jane divorced in 1974. After that, she married Derek Bryceson. They remained married until his death in 1979.

Jane Goodall is a hero because she helps those monkeys that need her. That’s the reason why I chose her for my hero project. She is confident that she is doing the right thing and she says that she will never give up until she saves the monkeys' environment.
