"Kiss the Sky" is a book written about Jimi Hendrix, one of the greatest guitar players still to this day. He inspired with his passion for writing and creating his own music and his love for playing the guitar.
In the long run Jimi Hendrix was famous for the music he wrote; such songs as "Purple Haze", "Voodoo Child", and "Hey Joe." Hendrix was also famous for how well he could play the electric guitar.
But he wasn't just born a rock star. Jimi was born in Seattle, Washington where he lived most of his childhood. But he only lived with his mother he never met his dad tell he was three years old because when his dad turned 18 he got drafted to the military and spent a few years in Vietnam.
Later on Jimi Hendrix at the age 27 died of an overdose of barbiturates and sleeping pills. Monica Dannemannm Jimi's fiance, tried waking him up but he wouldn't wake up because of the drug induced sleep he was in. When paramedics arrived they pronounced him dead.
I chose Jimi Hendrix as my hero because of they way he inspired people with his music and the start of a new generation of music to come.
