A hero is a person that inspires you to do good in life. They teach you lessons in life to help through life. Jennifer Hudson is my hero. This is why.
Jennifer Hudson is my hero because she taught me that even people from the ghetto can fulfill their dreams. She is a strong and an independent woman and proud of it. But it wasn’t always easy for her. This is her story.
Jennifer Hudson was born on September 12,1981 in Chicago, IL. She was born with an extraordinary voice. She was trained as a chanteuse at the age of seven by singing in the choir in a Baptist church. She let out her musical talents by singing in dozens of talent shows.
After high school she attended college but dropped out not long after. In 2002 at the age of 21 she landed a job as a singer on the Disney Wonder cruse ship. In 2004 she auditioned in Atlanta, Ga for American Idol. She made the cut and quickly moved along. When seven were left she was kicked off.
In 2006 she auditioned for the roll of “Effie” in the film “Dream Girl” and made the part after she gained almost 25 pounds, the perfect look for the role of “Effie. She received a golden Grammy for best supporting actor. She landed a record deal with Clive Davis (J Records) and released her premiere album in January 2007.
She started slow, was rejected and came to be great. That is why Jennifer Hudson is my hero.
