J.K. Rowling

A hero for me is a person that is perseverant, that makes great effort to do things, that helps other people, that can help others without receiving anything in return. Heroes also inspire people to be like them, if he is a good and humble person, the person that has these characteristics is a hero.

My hero is J.K. Rowling; she is the author of the Harry Potter books and she has inspired children to read more and to get interested in reading with the stories of Harry Potter and some others that she has written.

Joanne Kathleen Rowling was born in Yate, England the 31 of July, 1965. She is the first daughter of Peter and Anne Rowling. She studied French and classics at the University of Exeter and she went to Paris to improve her knowledge of the French language. Then she went to Porto, Portugal to teach English. She met with Jorge Arantes, they got married and then they had a daughter named Jessica Isabel. They separated few months later.

Now, Rowling has two more sons with Neil Murray and her life changed when she sold the first book of Harry Potter because she sold it on 3,000 sterling pounds and now she has two mansions in Scotland and one in London near the Buckingham Palace and she is very rich.

J.K. Rowling is my hero because her books inspire me to read because when you start reading a Harry Potter book, you can't wait for the next one. She is also my hero because when she was poor, instead of complaining about her life, she started writing things that later become books and then she can became a very popular, rich and famous writer.
