Our hero is Jim Douglas Morrison. He was born on December 8, 1943 in Melbourn, Florida. Jim was graduated in theater arts in the University of Florida in 1961. In 1960 he formed a music group called "The Doors." He chose that name because he thought that the thing between the known and the unknown was the doors. The doors band was integrated by: Jim Morrison, Ray Manzarek, John Desmore and Robber Krieger.

Jim drank a lot, for that reason he was arrested in a concert in Miami. Jim didn't want to be a musician; his dream was to become a poet. His songs are symbols of freedom and all his feelings.

He died on July 3, 1971 in Paris at the age of 27; he was found in his bath tub by his girlfriend Pamela. He officially died of a massive hemorrhage caused by tuberculosis, but some people has speculated that the cause of his death was a drug overdose.

Jim Morrison is a legend for the music, and his poetry was unique. He is in the list of people who died at the age of 27, like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Kurt Cobain.

He is our hero because he wrote amazing lyrics, he always did whatever he wanted and we like his way of thinking.
