Julie Packard

A hero is someone that looks out for others and is always willing to help. I believe that a hero will be kind and caring and lovable. My hero is my mom because she is all those things and so much more. She helps the community and is a great mom altogether. I picked this hero because she has made it a goal in her life to help out the poor and homeless to better their lives and hers.

Julie [my mom], and her friends of the Better Life Better Community group all say that they love and appreciate everyone that helps their neighborhood. “Even if you don’t give money you can still make big a difference,” said Gina a member of the group. My family has been involved in so much and my mom is always ready to get her hands dirty for others.

My mom has made me who I am today and I think that’s the biggest gift I could ask for. I see other kids joining in the fun and helping out. Their smiles make me all warm inside and to think I am having fun doing it. My mom is my hero and a great one at that. She is very fun and very cool, at least in my eyes. I love her and that's what matters the most!!!!!!!!!
