Radio Career

Van Zanten started his radio career at Free Radio Rotterdam in 1984. He also followed a secondary teacher training (geography and society leathers) which he wound up successfully. Around 1987 Van Zanten worked as Sebastian Black at the sea sender radio Caroline/radio Monique. In 1990, radio followed Barendrecht FM. Afterwards he came to work at the rural radio. He worked for the Netherlands FM (1992-1994), where he presented his own programme. Then the Netherlands FM went to Hitradio 1224, Van Zanten worked in the first place as an archivist at this station, receive which only by means of the AM was. It didn’t take long before Robert Jensen Jan from ‘the archiefkeldertje’ and Jensen sent Jan to showbizz parties to interview Dutch people for the programme 'Jensen' in the afternoon.

Jan Paparazzi continued his career at the radio, where he was more and more involved in the radio programme of Robert Jensen. He got a fixed spot beside Jensen eventually as cohost/sidekick at among other things Hitradio veronica (1995-1998), veronica FM (1999-2001), Yorin FM (2001-2002), North sea FM (2003-2004) and Yorin FM (2004-2005). In January 2006 Yorin FM was sold to SBS in the Netherlands. Robert Jensen and Jan Paparazzi have decided to aim at TV and not continue with the station SBS. Jan Paparazzi is praised by some and hated by others for his item telephoneterror in jensen's programme.

Tv Career

From the very first beginning Jan Paparazzi has been co-host in Robert Jensen's talk show on RTL 5! He seems inseparable with its neat package and pink trap, but his share has been restricted up to minimum. But behind the baffles Jan does a lot. He brightens up the present public as a type warming-up. Jan is also a support for Jensen during the prerecordings of the tv-show. Without Jan, Jensen doesn’t feel himself. In daily life they are also the best friends. Jan Paparazzi doesn't talk much in the show, but Van Zanten is a strong person (he can take critisism very well) If he gets the chance to make a joke, he will.

Jensen; the programme

In 2002 Robert Jensen had his own TV programme at Yorin, called Jensen! Where he together with his best friend Jan Paparazzi welcomes famous guests. The guests are famous people, like Pim Fortuyn, Patty Brard and Bart de Graaff but also international VIP’s like Tommy Lee, Deepak Chopra, Char, Shakira, Johnny Knoxville, Lionel Richie, Kim Wilde, Pink and Borat. The TV programme Jensen! won an award of the TV programme The Top Prize of BNN on 23 March 2006. Jan Paparazzi looks inseparable with his tidy suit and pink bow tie, but he never says anything during the programme. Van Zanten always sits next to the guests and doesn’t say a word. But behind the screen Jan does a lot. He cheers the public up, like a warming- up. Jan is a support for Robert Jensen during the recording. Without Van Zanten Jensen doesn’t feel comfortable. In the daily life they’re best friends with each other. You wouldn’t say this when you’ve heard Robert talking about Jan during the talkshow, but it doesn’t matter to Jan. Jan can like Robert, when he gets the chance, let people laugh at him.

Classification of the programme

Robert starts normally with Jensen Breaking News, very funny moments are presented. After the guests arrive. On an evening normally two to three guests are invited. On Friday evening he plays with famous guests on the roulette table.
