My hero is the second president and the first vice president of the United States, John Adams. Not only was President Adams a president, he was very important in forming the United States. John Adams had many qualities of a hero. He was brave, unselfish, and determined to help his country.
John Adams was born in Quincy, Massachusetts on October 30, 1735. He had a mom and a dad and their names were Charles and Susanna Adams. John Adams was a playful child. He was very good at school in his early years. John Adams attended Harvard and graduated in 1755 when he was 20 years old.
He got married to a lady named Abigail Smith. They got married on October 25, 1764. John and Abigail Adams had five children. Their names were Abigail Amelia, John Quincy, Susanna, Charles, and Thomas Boylston. John Quincy Adams, their second born, was our sixth president.
John Adams was nicknamed the Father of American Independence. John Adams had many jobs and offices. His jobs were a lawyer, he was elected to Massachusetts assembly, then attended first Continental Congress, appointed diplomat to France. Then he had a lot more, but the most important was that he was our second president. He died on July 4, 1826 in Quincy, Massachusetts. His last words were “Thomas Jefferson still survives’’, but Thomas Jefferson died that same day in the morning.
He inspires me because he never gave up. He was bold and brave. He will always be my hero. I may have more, but he will always be number one to me.
