My hero is Jacob Bannon, because he's an amazing artist. He goes to his dreams facing all the struggles and overcomes his greatest problems and fears. All throughout Jacob's life he has faced rejection letters from recording companies, and good friendships ending horribly. This encouraged me to advance towards my dreams and goals, and to never give up no matter how hard it may be. In the end it will be worth it!

Jacob Bannon went to the Art Institute of Boston, where he earned a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts for design, he accomplished this in 1998. He also taught the same subject in college for a few years. He is a vegetarian and straight edge. He adopted a greyhound dog, the dog is his only pet.

Jacob Bannon also is the founder of the record label Deathwish Inc. He started Deathwish Inc. in early 2001 with his best friend Tre McCarthy. Deathwish Inc. has signed on numerous bands, mostly hardcore punk bands. For the label Jacob will draw most of the art for the bands he signs on.

Jacob Bannon spends most of his time on his band Converge. Converge has been his main focus since he started in 1990, the band consists of four main members; Jacob Bannon on vocals, Kurt Ballou on guitar, Nate Newton on bass guitar, and Ben Koller on drums. Converge has released seven albums, not including the up coming release of 'All We Love We Leave Behind.' Converge plays more of the metalcore/mathcore style of music, they vary in style Converge is always open to new ideas and trying new things.
