"My name is Jordan Belfort, the year I turned 26, I made $49 million, which really pissed me off cause it was three shy of $1 million a week." Jordan Belfort first started working on Wall Street at L.F. Rothschild when he was 22. Jordan was born on July 9th, 1962 in Queens, New York. His parents Max and Leah Belfort were both accountants working in New York City. He enrolled in Baltimore College of Dental Surgery but transferred to American University after spending one day at BCDS after the dean told him "If you are here to make a lot of money you are in the wrong place." Jordan Belfort was arguably the craziest, greedy, and most controversial people to ever work on Wall Street. He shows heroic qualities by how he came out of that situation. He is a motivational speaker, is running a business with his wife in Manhattan Beach, CA, and inspires others with his great attitude towards life. Jordan Belfort in his story The Wolf of Wall Street shows intelligence, Motivation, and honesty by how no matter what he did and how he did it, he was always bringing himself back up and making things better.

Mr. Belfort graduated from American University with a degree in biology, though he excelled better in stock broking through its better pay and success he had within a short amount of time. Through that success he showed how he got smarter and smarter on how Wall Street works and how he "beat the system." What happens when you get to this section of Wall Street is it's very easy to rationalize everything you do one action at a time and then it goes further and further." (Belfort) Jordan Belfort always talked about how he was just rationalizing to react to situations when he first started. His boss on his first day of work ever told him "Your lower than pond scum, you got a problem with that, Jordan?" (Boss) "No, no problem." (Belfort) That was his first account of rationalizing as a young worker. As the years went on, he started to think more about what to do. He was not afraid anymore of taking charge towards his boss and fellow coworkers. Mr. Belfort was never afraid after that of stepping up for himself and showing that he was somebody. Now in to his business he was also teaching his fellow coworkers as well. "Sell me this pen." (Belfort) Mr. Belfort always believed that any smart and intelligent worker could sell anything. He never believed that a worker on Wall Street is incapable of selling anything from stocks to even pens. Jordan Belfort was the person to go to on Wall Street. He was arguably one of the smartest stockbrokers ever.

Jordan Belfort, now in his 50's has started his own motivational speaking chain and has helped many people in doing so. Mr. Belfort has always believed that failure can either help or hurt you and shows people how to overcome it. "The only thing standing between you and your goal is the bu**sh** story you keep telling yourself as to why you can't achieve it." (Belfort) He never told people to give up on themselves; he always talked about how if someone wants something then they cannot keep giving themselves excuses to why they can't. He discussed why people shouldn't look for the easy way, but to look for the way that'll make them a better person. And Mr. Belfort is the last person on Earth to feel sorry for. No, Jordan Belfort would talk to someone that they have never even heard before. You grow stronger from failure than you do success."(Belfort) He makes a great point in saying this. If all someone does is succeed, then how will they know how to make themselves better when a bigger challenge comes their way? Mr. Belfort never believed in success being handed to him or anyone else. Jordan Belfort, no matter who comes to his speaking, is never afraid to make them the best to their ability and beyond.

Now even with his life before prison, he was never afraid to tell the truth even if he did it so rarely. He even discusses how watching the movie felt towards him. Belfort, 51, who is now a motivational speaker, applauded The Wolf of Wall Street, but said it was difficult to watch in parts" (Helen Pow) Even though it was based on his own life's events and his book, Jordan Belfort says how watching the movie was hard at times to watch. He didn't want to be reminded of all the horrible things he did on Wall Street. For Mr. Belfort is a changed man now and is making amends for what he has done. And after watching the movie he discussed with Piers Morgan in an interview about how honest he was towards himself. "The man who spent 22 months in prison for securities fraud and money laundering insisted to Piers Morgan that 95 per cent of what he did was legal but he added 'the 5 per cent was incredibly destructive and it poisoned everything" (Helen Pow) Jordan Belfort knew that what he was doing was more than likely the most illegal sequence of events in Wall Street's history. He even said in a different interview "I deserved to get caught, and I'm happy I got caught, I never believed this would get out of control as it did." He was honest in saying how he didn't want things to get this out of hand so he stated how he deserved to be caught and sent to jail. Now Jordan Belfort has never been afraid of telling the truth to his peers and family after his crazy years and it has made him a great person today.

Jordan Belfort has done some things in his life that have gone out of hand, but that has just been a fuel for himself to make it all better. Now with his current life, Mr. Belfort has shown how much care he has in to inspire others. He always shows and discusses with people that no matter what you do, you can always find a way to get out of it and make it better. The way Jordan Belfort inspires me is how even though he has done drugs, convicted of money laundering, and cheated on his wife, that has never stopped him from making things better. He now runs multiple businesses to help his local community and is paying back all the money to those he has hurt. Jordan Belfort, "THE Wolf of Wall Street", is the greatest comeback story of all time.
