Jack Black

I like this quote by Jack Black because he has a passion for acting and playing music and this is why I admire him. What this quote means to me is you should go and do what you love and what your good at.

I find things about Jack's life similar to mine, his parents separated around the same time my parents did and he was known for being the class clown, like me.  We like similar music and this would explain why I like his band.  He began his career acting in many TV shows such as, Life Goes On, Northern Exposure, Mr. Show, Picket Fences, X Files and Heat Vision and Jack. He was even on the famous game show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Jack started playing in movies like Orange County, Shallow Hal, School of Rock, Nacho Lire, Tenacious d Pick of Destiny, King Kong, Year One and Gulliver's Travels. Not only is he an actor, but he was also in a band called, Tenacious D, with a man named Kyle Gass. Together they launched two new albums ''Self titled Debut,'' and ''Pick of Destiny''. They have played together for a few years until they split up.

On June 16/2006, they came together and helped an organization called the ''Mitochondrial Disease Foundation'' in San Diego to raise awareness and founds. Diseases of the mitochondria appear to cause the most damage to cells of the brain, heart, liver, skeletal muscles, kidney and the endocrine and respiratory systems. Mitochondria are responsible for creating more than 90% of the energy needed by the body to sustain life and support growth.

In March, 2006, he got married to Tanya Haden and they had two sons. Samuel Jason ''Sammy'' Black, born June 10^th, 2006 and Thomas David Black May 23, 2008. They currently live in California. Jack Black continues to make movies, but since he has become a husband and father he likes to make sure he has more time for his family so he's not spending as much time away from home.

This is probably one of the biggest reasons why I picked Jack Black as a hero, he does all the things I enjoy and would like to do, but he is a very down to earth guy and he knows what's more important then making movies and music is his family.
