A hero doesn't have to be a person with superpowers or a person who has a cape. A hero is someone who encourages others to do good and is a good role model, like John Cena. John Cena is a professional WWE wrestler, who is my hero.
John Cena has done many heroic actions in his life. John Cena has helped and supported many foundations such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Make A Wish Foundation. Make A Wish is a foundation that grants wishes for children who have life threatening conditions. John Cena has granted over 400 wishes in the past several years. Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a non profit organization that raises funds to find a cure for breast cancer, educate people about breast cancer, and treatment for women with breast cancer. John Cena has supported this charity since 2012. John Cena has helped donate money to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, he has helped raise $1 million dollars with the WWE Universe. John Cena has also made great quotes to help give courage to women who are battling breast cancer which are "Rise Above cancer" and "Never Give Up". These quotes are on his pink shirts that he wears to the ring in September to November every year.
John Cena was born in April 23,1977 in West Newbury,Massachusetts. John Cena's original name is John Felix Anthony Cena. His mother is the daughter of retired baseball player Tony Lupien, Carol Nee Lupien. His father is John Cena Sr. John's mother was a stay at home mother raising 5 kids including John. While his father worked as a ring announcer. Growing up John Cena would watch WWF [WWE] with his father. He was a big fan of Hulk Holgan and The Ultimate Warrior. John Cena attended Cushing Academy for High School, but after graduating he attended Springfield College and earned a degree on Exercise Physiology. With only $500 in his pocket John decided to go to California. When John Cena arrived to California he worked at Golds Gym in Venice Beach cleaning toilets and folding towels. Since he didn't have enough money to pay rent, he lived in his 1989 Lincoln. One day while working in the gym, a professional wrestler was talking to him and encouraged him to take Ultimate Pro Wrestling classes. Since John took his advice he took Ultimate Pro Wrestling classes he won the UPW title and called himself "The Prototype". Since he won the UPW title he caught the Ohio Valley Wrestling executives attention. So John Cena made a contract with Ohio Valley Wrestling and in 2002 he won the OVW title. This improvement got him to WWE. These accomplishments show that John Cena took advantage of every opportunity they gave him. John Cena went from scrubbing toilets to being a hero to thousands of children who believe in him.
John Cena inspires me to never give up and to always do the right things. To learn from my mistakes and to encourage others to do good instead of wishing them the worst. Another way he inspires me is that he says "rise above hate" which means to ignore the people who are going to put you down and to not let anyone stop you from achieving your goals.
You don't need super powers or a really cool outfit to be a hero. Like John Cena, he is a hero who doesn't have superpowers only his kindness and his encouraging words. John Cena is my hero and many other peoples' hero, and I am proud of him.
