Jackie Chan is one of the most inspiring heroes who has done many things to help the world. Why is he considered a hero? You will have to read on in order to find out. Jackie Chan is part of charities and has donated to children and older people. He is an actor who became famous in Asia and USA. His young life was very tough because his parents were poor. They almost had to sell Jackie Chan because they could not afford the expense of the hospital, but luckily they had friends who donated some money so they could keep him. A hero must possess the qualities of Caring and Determination. Caring is one of the traits that is needed for heroes and Jackie Chan has demonstrated this. He has shown his ability to care for others by giving generously to charities that support children and the elderly. Jackie Chan is a very determined individual. He was born with no talents, but worked hard to earn the talents he has today. His determination also helped him to in becoming famous in Asia and the USA. Since Jackie Chan possesses the traits of caring and determination traits, he is a hero.

Jackie Chan is a hero who has shown determination throughout his life. A hero is the one that must have many positive traits. Jackie Chan demonstrates determination."During Jackie's time at the school, he learned martial arts, acrobatics, singing, and acting. The school was meant to prepare boys for a life in the Peking Opera.  Each year many movies were made in Hong Kong and they were always looking for young, strong stuntmen. Jackie took these jobs and soon earned a reputation for being fearless. Jackie Chan would try anything."(Schroeder, Katherine)Jackie Chan was not born with talents or abilities, but he worked hard to earn those talents. He went through many years of training and sweats, he didn't give up. He continued to work hard and achieve his goals. Jackie Chan's determination helped him get famous at USA. "Drunken Master became a hit in Asia and an art house success in the United States, spawning a sequel and eventually a restored American reissue, as Chan's popularity finally crossed the Pacific. Chan's performance was a virtuoso blend of action and perfectly controlled (and often highly comic) false-drunken choreography."(Chan, Jackie) He is a guy who is kind-hearted and hard-working at the same time. He gave his best effort and his success paid off. He became famous not only in Asia, but also at USA too. His determination succeeded him, but it took many years. Even though it took many years, his determination is very respecting. Heroes are expected to have honest traits. Jackie Chan are one the good-traits people that demonstrate determination. He wanted to show the world the value in determination, the good side of him.

Another trait of heroes is being a caring person. It is necessary for heroes because caring for people is the reason why they fight, struggle, or do good things for others. Through charities and donations, Jackie Chan helped many people. "In October of 2004, Jackie founded the Dragon's Heart Foundation to help children and the elderly in poor and remote areas of China. The Dragon's Heart Foundation builds schools in these areas and gives aid to the elderly and handicapped. "(Biography) He demonstrated his love, care for people through charities and donations, like the Dragon's Heart Foundation.He cared about, respected children, and elderly. He supported the children who could not attend school because of money issues, by donating money to buy school supplies for them.Despite his busy schedule as an actor, he spent some of his time in organizations that help children. "Chan also began to devote time to humanitarian activities, serving as an ambassador for the UNICEF/UNAIDS children's organization." (Chan, Jackie) Jackie is a man of his word by keeping his promise to help less fortunate people. I respect him because of his devotion in helping those who are in need. Thanks to his effort, many underprivileged people are enjoying their lives. It's like he's helping the entire world. Caring for his people, Jackie Chan supported them by founding the Dragon's Heart Foundation in 2004. He built schools for children and gave aid to older people.

Jackie Chan's common heroic traits are caring and determination. Jackie Chan's determination is very inspiring to us because it helps us continue to dream big and try to succeed in obtaining it. Therefore, Jackie Chan is a strong, emotionally powerful, and a wonderful hero. Everybody should respect and admire him because he helped us realize that it is fine to dream big and try our best to obtain what we want or desire.
