Jackie Chan's real name is Chan Kong Shan. He was born in Hong Kong on April 7th 1954. Kong Shan is his first name, which means "born" in Hong Kong. When he was born he weighed 12kg, that's almost twice of the average weight of a newborn baby. He wasn't born in a wealthy family, Jackie Chan's parents were poor, they didn't even have enough money to pay the doctor. They had to borrow money from friends. Jackie Chan's father Charles was working in the French Embassy as a cook, and his mother Lee Lee had a job in the French Embassy as a housekeeper. When Jackie Chan was in grade 1, he didn't like to study at all. He was always fighting with the American kids and some French kids too. So Jackie Chan's parents decided to put him into the China Drama Academy (Peking Opera) when he was seven years old. And after that his parents moved to Australia. During the 10 years of his school life in China Drama Academy, he learned martial arts, singing, acting, and acrobatics. He had his first acting debut called 'Seven Little Valiant Fighters: Big and Little Wong Tin Bar' when he was eight years old, he barely saw his parents at that time.

He has a lot of fans in the world wide, his movies bring smiles on people's faces. Jackie Chan's dedication to making brilliant movies is limitless. The making of some of the movie scenes literally involved risking his own life in 1985, when they were filming "Amour of God" in Yugoslavia. They were already there for almost three weeks, and he got to go to Japan for five days for film promotion of his upcoming movie "Heart of Dragon" in Tokyo. So they had to film without him. He spent forty-eight hours fly back and forth, and, because of the press conference, he was tired out already. When he was back, he didn't ask for a break, just continued the filming. On the same day, he had a quite dangerous stunt shot to do. The shot requested a jump over to the other side between a tree "caught the branches, a turn, then leap over to the opposite wall." Big stones all over the ground, and for make it looks like real, they cannot put anything covering on the ground. "Can you do it?" they asked, "Of course" Jackie answered immediately. For the first take, everyone were very satisfied with it, but Jackie Chan thought it was not perfect. On the second take, he wasn't satisfied with it also.On the third take, when he was trying to jump over the other side, he couldn't catch the branch, so he fell straight down to the ground. Blood was keep coming out from his ears endlessly. The spent almost one hour to get him into the hospital. He had a surgery. It took him four months to recover, after he left the hospital, he suggested to retake the same part again.

He is like a superman for me. He changed my life and he also changed many poor kids' lives, helps them to get into school. I used to watch a lot of his movies when I was little. Sometimes I will imitate his actions in front of my family. Jackie Chan used to say "No one can fight for you". Success= 99%hard working + 1% talent. It made me realize it doesn't matter how good you are, if you don't work hard, you will never succeed. Sometimes I think about if I don't study hard. How can I make money? Will I have money for my new phone? Because of what he said, I started to do my best every time, and work hard don't be lazy.
