I chose Jose Evaristo U. as my hero. He was vice-president and president in Argentina. He was very hard working because he negotiated for peace negotiations in the war of the Pacific.
Jose was very successful in spite of his job: he was vice- president from 1892 to 1895, he was president from 1895 to 1898. He was very smart because he changed the National Constitution; he created the National Lottery, the National Museums of Arts and the Otto Krause Technical School, for what he was inventive.
He was very witty for his numerous kinds of jobs: Senator for the city of Buenos Aires, he was a member of the National Deputy, he was the federal judge in Salta where he was born and he was a justice minister. For me he was important because he was smart and perseverant in his job. He lived in Salta, Bolivia and Buenos Aires. I think he was also important because he was a president. His nephew Jose Felix de Uriburu was also a president. Jose Evaristo was a famous judge and politician. He had two wives and seven sons.
I could compare him to Martin Luther King because both were perseverant. In addition, he was very brave because when he was a child his house was attacked by the Government of Buenos Aires and he had to move twice to Bolivia. He was very responsible for his job and was always busy.
All in all, I think Jose Evaristo was my hero because of all the responsibilities in his job, his determination to achieve his goals and his creativity because of all the things he invented.
