When I first learned about Jonathan Goldsmith, I wasn’t even aware of his name. To me, he was “The Most Interesting Man in the World”. The most interesting man in the world is generous, suave, and heroic, which is why I was drawn to him. Goldsmith starred in an ad campaign for Dos Equis Beer and had many easily quotable and hilarious sayings. He sort of reminded me of Chuck Norris since the personality that he had was different and unique.
Jonathan Goldsmith is an actor who is very skilled at what he does. He actually didn’t start out at Jonathan Goldsmith, he was born Jonathan Lippe on September 26, 1938 in New York City. Not only does he act, he also attends charity events and helps organizations for breast cancer and poor children. When it comes to his education, surprisingly he didn’t excel. He graduated high school and was accepted into NYU, but he dropped out at the age of nineteen.
Goldsmith is well-known for his Dos Equis commercials, but he didn’t start there. He actually started acting in the seventies and continued on throughout the eighties and nineties. He appeared in some shows like Magnum PI, The A-Team, Murder She Wrote, and Knight Rider. He didn’t really have college days since he dropped out because of an abnormal relationship with one of his professors.
Jonathan Goldsmith has brought happiness and laughter to many people through television and movies. Many people, myself included, quote him on a daily basis and is a common interest. But acting is not the only way that he has brought joy. He’s also helped organizations to stop breast cancer and also charities to help poor children or others in poverty. In fact, he won The Hollywood Reporter's Philanthropist of the year award.
Career-wise, I have always given acting some thought, but film making is where I’m drawn to. Anything in the film industry is always entertaining, there’s always something new to try. That’s why I like how Jonathan Goldsmith was spontaneous when he grabbed the part for his world famous campaign. However, unlike Goldsmith and his accomplishment in college, I plan to graduate from a four year university with a master’s degree. I will also graduate high school like him. In a lifetime sense of things, I want to donate to charities like he did and make everyone laugh every now and then. Maybe not be as famous and world renowned as he is, but on a smaller scale.
