My hero is Jane Goodall. She was born in England, now she is 75 years old. She was born on the 3rd of April 1934 in London. Jane grew up in Bournemouth in the south of England.

Jane Goodall is a British woman that studies animal behavior and knows a lot about forest chimps. She wanted to go to Africa when she was very young. She started working in Tanzania. She liked working with chimpanzees so she spent 5 hours a day with them. As chimpanzees got used to her she could watch them very closely. She worked with them for 45 years!! Jane Goodall is one of the most famous scientists of the 20th century. She wrote some books and one of them is called, 'The Chimpanzees of Gombe- Patterns of Behavior'.

Why this person is my hero:
She is my hero because she inspires me to be good to the environment and animals. She is knowledgeable about animals. She is open minded because she would like to live with others that have different cultures. I want to be like her.
