My hero is Jane Goodall. She is from London and England. She lives in England. She is 75 years old. She always loves animals. Her husband’s name was Mortimer Herbert Goodall. They had a son. She is caring and open-minded because she helps animals and saves animals.

When she was 10 or 11, she dreamed of going to live with the animals in Africa. She began studying chimpanzees in Tanzania. She has written a lot of books. She is one of the most famous scientists of the 20th century. In 1977 she found the Jane Goodall Institute for Wildlife Research, Education and Conservation. She ended up observing the same group of chimps for 45 years! It’s not easy do the same group for 45 years. She discovered that chimpanzees make tools. Before, scientists thought only humans made tools. She studied the kasakela chimpanzee community.
Jane Goodall is important to me because I like animals and she showed me that we can be friends with animals (chimpanzees). She made the dream of working with animals come true. I want my dream to come true like Jane Goodall. When I am 25 years old, I want to help animals.
These are some things I can do to be more like Jane Goodall. I can read books about animals and I can study about animals. I can love animals. I can help animals and I can study about what she did or how she helps animals.
