Jane Goodall

You can do whatever you set your mind to.

Jane Goodall is my hero. She had showed the whole world how primates act and react to their surroundings. Jane was born on April 3rd, 1934 and ever since she was born, Jane had showed affection to animals. When Jane got a letter from a friend saying to visit her in Africa, Jane had no choice but go to Africa, her dream. In Africa, Jane had a rare patience when working around primates. This was what excluded her from any scientists or primatologists. Jane had the heart and love when working with chimpanzees. She always cared deeply and was always overjoyed when she had the acquiescence to meet and touch one of the animals she had gotten to learn more about.

After years of much dedication to primates, Jane had come back but instead to places around the world. Jane had continued to talk to people about primates and how we should protect them from anyone that can bring harm. She talked about how they are similar to how we live and how they have emotions and feelings just like us.

Jane Goodall taught me that that people can do extraordinary things just like herself. Jane was an ordinary girl with a love for animals and full of dreams and all she did was make it come true. She worked hard and now she is one of the most widely known primatologists and is a great role model for everyone and, as Jane’s mother said to her, “You can do whatever you set your mind to.” (the Jane Goodall Institute)
