Jane Goodall

              My hero is Jane Goodall.  She was born on April 3, 1934 in London, England. Jane always loved animals when she was young. She even waited in a hen house just to see a chicken lay an egg. While she was waiting, her parents were searching for her for five hours. Her parents were not angry at her, instead they chatted and they noticed how much she loved animals. Jane dreamed of going to Africa when she grew up. This dream was realized when she actually got to travel to Africa and observe the chimpanzees. She fell in love with the chimpanzees immediately. On one of her adventures in the African forest, Jane saw the chimpanzees making a tool for digging termites from a rock. Jane made many discoveries of the chimpanzee world.

    Jane Goodall is a humanitarian. She not only cares for other people, she cares for animals too. She has a lot in common with many people, including me. She is my hero because of her love for animals. One of my future goals is to become a veterinarian or study animals. This is why Jane Goodall is my hero.
