Hate, sex, fighting, drugs, alcohol, cheating, break ups, and even love are all parts of high school for many kids. They become so caught up in all the rush and the peer pressure that they sometimes forget even who they are. It is a problem that affects at least 90% of teenagers and many of them feel like they have no one to help them through it. Even I am guilty of having problems in my life, but who isn’t? 212/liquid Organization is always there to help anyone, no matter what kind of problem it is. 212/liquid Organization has affected so many people in the community of Fort Wayne positively. I know many kids that have turned their life around by listening to what pastors have to say about their problems in life. Some people wouldn’t be where they are or maybe even be here at all without the people at 212/liquid Organization.
One of the leaders of the 212/liquid Organization is Jesse Hannah. He was a troubled kid when he was in high school, so he himself can relate to the partying, the sex, and the depression that some high school kids go through. He drank to fit in and was sexually active. Then one day one of his friends brought him to a youth group ministry camp and his life was changed forever. He never knew about the forgiveness and the love that the lord can give you, and his outlook and life was altered in a way that made him feel like a better person. In college he started a bible study with some friends who invited their friends and it eventually became a group of almost 50 people. He was introduced to Scott Mills (who is now one of his fellow pastors) and they started the 212/liquid Organization. They went to Blackhawk Christian and started the organization to preach to high school teenagers and helped them to understand what they are going though. He shares his stories from being a kid to inspire people to know that they can change, no matter what has happened to them in the past or what they have done. He has helped me and my sister through many problems and I’m sure he will help through many, many more.
212/liquid Organization has impacted me and helped me not to be afraid to stand up for my beliefs and to share them with others. I will help others when needed and be a positive person to come to with conflicts. I will know that even if I make mistakes that I can be forgiven like Jesse has for his past mistakes, along with many teenagers that ask for forgiveness for their sins. I can consider Jesse Hannah to be my hero because he does what I would love to do when I am older, and that is to help kids through the hardships of adolescence.
