Jim Henson was the creator of the popular TV show the Muppets. Henson’s Early Life was the beginning. He was born on September 24TH 1936 in Greenville, Mississippi. His first ever puppet, that he didn’t know would be in his life later, was Kermit the Frog. He made it out of an old coat. He began to make puppets because he was amazed with puppets.

Henson was a Hero because he showed people what puppets could really do on stage. He gave people the enjoyable TV show the Muppets. Helped people work with him and go on TV. Children needed a TV show that they liked and helped them learn and he did not stop until his Muppet dream was real.

There were many Challenges/Obstacles that were standing in his way to the Muppets and keeping the Muppets on TV. He had to come up with a lot of ideas for the show. Henson was losing his audience for the Muppets because the audience said the Muppets needed new material for the show. Everybody thought he wouldn’t be successful with his show because he didn’t have a plan for the show.

Jim Henson had many Traits. Here are three: he always wanted the audience to laugh and have fun with the Muppets, wanted his coworkers to get into the art of puppets, he was hard working but had fun with the Muppets because when he worked he didn’t goof off but had fun working and loved the Muppets.

He had a lot of Contributions in his life like: he gave his workers a chance to do whatever they wanted to do while working with Muppets, had very famous people guest star on the show and a lot of people wanted to buy the Muppets because they wanted to make it in to a bigger TV shows. But Henson never did. He was making a popular TV show by himself.

Jim Henson won a bunch of Awards/Recognitions in his life. He won the Oscar for best animated movie, The Muppet Movie, but he also made a lot of other movies too like Muppets in Space, Muppet Wizard of Oz, and Muppet E.T, and won an award for funniest TV show the Muppets but also created the popular children show called Sesame Street. He went to the famous city London to make a lot of episodes for the Muppets. Henson said that working with his coworkers and the people that he got to meet was an award of its own.
