My hero is Jack Johnson. He is my hero because he is a lover of music, just like me. He plays the musical genres of rock, acoustic, blues, jazz, and funk. In my opinion, the way he plays his music is so different from other musicians. I really enjoy his songs, and his style of guitar playing.

Jack Johnson was born on 18th of May, in 1975. He was born in Hawaii, and started to play the guitar while recovering from an accident. A man named Alex Conwell taught him how to play guitar as well. Then he went to UCSB, University of California Santa Barbara, where he graduated with a degree in film. He later became friends with Garrette Dutton, and recorded the song "Rodeo Clowns." Soon after, a man named Ben Harper heard Johnson's music, and took him in and produced his music.

The story of how Johnson started his career is very interesting. Before his musical career, Jack Johnson was a professional surfer in Hawaii. He got into an accident, in which he broke his wrist, knocked out his front teeth, and got about 150 stitches on his mouth and forehead. While recovering in the hospital, he wrote songs and played the guitar to pass the time. He got into a group called Soil, and started his music career in that group. This is when he met Garrette Dutton and Ben Harper, and his whole career went uphill from there.

This person, Jack Johnson, is my hero because he is a musical God. He is so talented with the guitar and with writing songs. He writes and makes his own music, and both are very good. Not many people have this kind of talent, nor do they use it the way that he does, by making music for movies, such as Curious George. When it comes to music, I look up to this man. No other name stands out to me like his, and no other songs sound better this his do.

These are the aspects of a hero to me. A hero doesn't have to be someone that has superpowers or saves lives. It can be someone as simple as a sibling, or parent. To me though, I chose a musician, and he is a hero because of the way he plays his music, and writes his songs. This is what makes him a hero to me. Jack Johnson is a great person, and he is my hero.
