Jeremy Lin

Jeremy Lin or Shu-How Lin is an American professional basketball player for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association(NBA). Lin was born on August 23,1988 in Torrance, California. Lin got the height of 6 feet 3 or about 191 centimeters and the weight of 200 pounds or 91 kilograms. Lin's journey start in the high school time when he attended Palo Alto High School . A lot of people knew him as an Asian man but not an American. His family is from Taiwan but moved to America. Both of his parents are Taiwanese and surely means that Lin has Asian blood. However, Lin was so famous in the senior year that made him the player of the year and got the scholarships for his university at Harvard University. After the injuries during the third years of his college he finally made it to the final of the Northern California.

In 2010, Jeremy Lin was mentioned as the first Asian guard to ever play in National Basketball Association (NBA). However, what Lin had done over the 5 years of his career was showing the American or the European people and players accept the truth that somehow Asian player can play at this biggest Basketball Association also. Yao Ming the tallest player ever in the history once said "To me, I want the world to see an Asian player playing in the NBA as a normal thing". Lin has already shown that even Asian players could play in this biggest association.

Jeremy Lin currently lives in U.S.A in Charlotte, separate from his family.

Lin started his journey in 2010 with the Golden State Warriors. Today, after 5 years of his journey he signed 2 years with the Charlotte Hornets and this year will be the last year of playing with the Hornets.

Lin is always a player that I follow the news and everything that he does. One reason why he is so important to me is that he is an Asian player and his parents are Taiwanese just like myself. I love when people blame him or say that he is bad because what Lin did was turn the negative stuff into positive and improve himself and not swear back to the fans. Lin makes my life different in a lot of ways such as seeing the world in a positive way all the time and not swear back to the people that blame me a lot.
