I’m writing this text to introduce you to my hero. His name is Jorge Munoz. Through this text you will know a little bit about him, like when and where he was born. You will know about his family, and other details. Also, you will know why he is my hero.

As I already told you, my hero is Jorge Muñoz. He was born in 1965, in Colombia. His father died in an accident when he was young. Muñoz followed his mother. He moved to New York to find work to support the family. He obtain legal residency in 1987, and later became a citizen, along with his mother and sister. He is a school bus driver.

Some of the things he does is that, at night, when he arrives home he cooks some food for free for poor and homeless people. He has already helped 70,000 people since 2004. He is nominated in the program of CNN heroes. The president of the United States has recognized him like a hero.

I think he is a hero because he spends time properly driving all along the city and when he arrives home he starts to prepare meals for others for free. Also I think he is a very humble man. Besides he has hero qualities, like he cares about others, he is a good example for children and also adults.

Finally, I consider him my hero because of his actions. I think we should follow his example and be conscious that there are people that don’t have food so we don’t waste it.
