Do you like to watch movies? Many people watch movies, but don’t notice what makes the scene so nice. Many people don’t notice the music that’s played in scenes that add so much into the scene. Many people don’t give credit to the musicians. Most people like the end of the movies when they are summing things up and the music adds so much to it. One of my favorite musicians is John Ottman. I chose John Ottman, because he can play very difficult piano pieces, and easier pieces, but make them sound so nice.

John Ottman is so talented, that he has played music in many movies we watch today. Many people have heard him play before but don’t know it. If you have seen the movies: Orphan, Astro Boy, Superman Returns, Fantastic Four 2, then you have heard him play before. John Ottman has won five awards, because he is very good at the piano, he was also nominated for four more awards.

John Ottman first started to play the piano when he was just a boy. Growing up, he used his parent’s garage for a studio. John Ottman started off playing easy pieces but the pieces were also very nice. Mr. Ottman’s pieces got better and better over the years. Now he is very good and has accomplished a lot of things. When he got older, his pieces were so good, he soon got attention from the local newspaper. All of this attention and inspiration got him into college.

John Ottman went to college and graduated from USC in 1988. It was after college that he started to work with Bryan Singer. Bryan Singer and John Ottman are very good friends. Mr.Ottman and Mr. Singer have done a lot of work together in movies. They have had something to do with many movies we watch today.

I chose John Ottman, because he can take a simple piece and make it nice, he is a very successful man, and even though he only started to play in his parents' garage, now he can play in movies. Next time you watch a movie, look up who played the music because they might inspire you to do something you never thought you would like to do.
