Jaycee Wilkins is a young dancer, model and advocate for dancers across the United States. Thought her 13 years, she has been awarded many prestigious titles, and has even fought, and recovered from a rare disease called Perthes Disease. Jaycee has grown into an excellent dancer, and as her fame has grown, she has inspired many girls to begin dancing. She is truly a hero to the dance community in America.

When Jaycee was little she began to dance at Club Dance Studio in Mesa Arizona. Her mom being the owner, it was pretty much set in stone that this would be where she danced. As she started to improve, she joined the pre-professional program at her dance studio. Joining this program has taken her all over the country, and the extensive training and hard work led her to obtain the title of Junior Female Best Dancer at The Dance Awards Las Vegas. This was an incredible win for her, and the most incredible title a dancer could receive, but unfortunately she was diagnosed with Perthes Disease, which is very rare. Jaycee was a little upset, as she could not continue to dance for a long time, but she remained positive, and has become an excellent advocate for Perthes Disease, and for the kids fighting it. She had two surgeries on her left hip, and had to regain her strength through lots of therapy. However, she is looking forward to dancing this season, and her fans are looking forward to seeing her on stage this dance season.Her courageous fight through her injury has inspired other dancers across the nation to follow their dreams, and never give up. That is why she is a hero. She worked hard, fought bravely, and is now back doing what she loves.

In conclusion, Jaycee Wilkins is a hero because she showed everyone that she is a fighter, and showed everyone that she will never give up. Her incredibly kind heart, has reached out to others across the nation, and she has inspired so many kids to start dancing. Jaycee Wilkins will forever be a legend in the dance world.
