There's a saying in Chinese society, "Where there is a Chinese person, there will be a Jin Yong's novel." Only by reading this sentence, you can know how important Jin Yong is in the Chinese's heart. Let me introduce our hero, Jin Yong, an extraordinary master of the Chinese chivalry novel.

Jin Yong is his pen name; his real name is Louis Cha. Louis Cha was born in Zhejiang, a province of China, in 1942. His family moved to Hong Kong in 1948. He met Liang Yusheng and became friends with him in 1952. Then, his chief editor asked them to write Chinese chivalry novels. Liang wrote Longhu Dou Jinghua, while Jin Yong wrote The Book and The Sword. These two books made both of them very famous. And Jin Yong's legendary age has started.

Jin Yong has written 15 Chinese chivalry novels in his 15 years of being a author, they are all very popular in the Chinese society; Jin Yong is like J.K Rowling or J.R.R Tolkien in Western society. But sadly, there are only several books of his translated into English. They are, The Book and the Sword, The Deer and the Cauldron, The Legend of the Condor and Heroes Fox Volant of the Snowy Mountain. Actually his novel is most of our Chinese's first novel; his work has been turned into a classic. By reading his book, you can feel the beauty of Chinese culture, and learn a lot about Chinese philosophy theory. You can see the Buddhism culture in the monks in his novel; the Taoism theory on Yang Goo, Doctor Huang and Ling Hu Chang and the spirit of Ru on all the main characters. The spirit is to save the whole world, and all of the characters try to save a dynasty or the martial art society.

Why do we chose Jin Yong as our hero? Like most of the Chinese, the first novel we read is Jin Yong's The Book and the Sword. Our Chinese language arts keeps improving by reading them, and we learn a lot of things from it. Whether the Chinese traditional culture or the way to see things, it really helps us a lot. It leads us to pass this misty road of puberty; it's like the light tower and we are the sailors. When we feel stressed, what we only need is to spend ten or twenty minutes reading his novel, and all our stresses will vanish at once.

Now, he's not an author anymore, he finished his last novel "The Sword of the Yu woman" in 1970, and he ended his work as an author. He went to universities and got PhD and MS degree. He keeps editing his old works and keep working on spreading the Chinese culture.
