In addition to the gold, Iginla got world Championship gold in 1997, world cup gold in 2004, and World Junior Championships in 1996. Jarome likes watching the Edmonton Oilers on tv (when he's not playing hockey himself). He also is able to keep up with his wife and kids and still able to play hockey. His hero is his grandfather who passed away just last year. His best friend on his hockey team is Dion Phaneuf. Some words to describe Jarome Iginla are: Fast Skater, Captain, Hard Worker, Leader, Kind, Athletic, Goal Scorer, Energetic, Strong , Creative, Inspiring, Amazing hockey player, Caring, Loving, Attractive, Smart and breath taking :)
Jarome Iginla is my hero because he is kind to all people. I know this because for my 13th birthday he signed my jersey and took the time to talk to me about hockey and that I should try my hardest to get into it. He's a great hockey player and when I get into hockey I hope to be as good as he is. He is also my hero because he is the captain of his hockey team, he plays hockey and is still able to provide for his family and see them. I think it would be hard to see your family if you were a famous hockey player but he makes it work. He inspires me to try harder when I play hockey or sports. If he didn't prove to me that hockey is worth it then I wouldn't feel this strongly about it. He is an inspiring athlete, not just to me but to his family and friends! Does he sound like a hero to you!?!?
