Introduction:
James Naismith is my hero because he was the creator of Basketball. James Naismith achieved many goals in life, which influenced me to do everything to the best of my abilities. James Naismith was a hard working man, from making his way back up to the top after dropping out of high school, to being a physical education teacher at McGill University, up until creating the sport basketball.

Influences and Obstacles:
One of James Naismith's obstacles in life was how his parents died while he was young. I don't know how or if James overcame this obstacle. Another one of James's obstacles was how he had to make a modified version of soccer, football, and lacrosse. James achieved his challenge to create a new sport and made basketball.
Hero's actions and achievements:
James graduated university, then became a physical education teacher after he dropped out of high school because of bad grades, and bad behaviour. James's actions and achievements demonstrate determination.
Your hero's character traits and examples:
I think that James's character traits are: Athletic, and determined. I think James is athletic because throughout school he played on multiple sports teams, and when he graduated university he became a physical education teacher. I also think that James is determined. I think this because within the many obstacles /challenges he never gave up on himself.
How does your hero influence you?
Naismith
influenced me because in his life there was some unfortunate things
that happened, for example his parents died while he was only ten. James Naismith always tried his best at everything, which influences me to do everything to the best of my abilities.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, James Naismith is my hero because of everything he achieved, and everything he did to make a difference in sports.
