Jackie Robinson

For a hero to be a hero they have to not give up, be chance taking, strong, good at what they do, and inspiring.  All heroes need different characteristics because if they all have the same characteristics they might not be able to surpass different accomplishments because they would all be the same type of person.

My hero is Jackie Robinson because he was a big part of stopping segregation.  Jackie was the first African-American to ever play MLB (Major League Baseball).  Jackie Robinson never quit in his first season even though people would yell threats and curses at him when he played.  Jackie was also one of the best baseball players ever to live.  Not so long after Jackie Robinson started playing baseball people started to realize how good some Negro League players were.  On one website called Bio.True Story, it said 'Robinson soon became a hero of the sport.'  Jackie Robinson was so good the MLB retired his number from the league.
