My Hero is Joe Thornton. He is a professional hockey player in the NHL (National Hockey League). He was born on July 2, 1979 In London, Ontario, Canada. He was traded to the sharks in the 2005-2006 Season. His old team was the Boston bruins.

My hero has done many things like win the Art Ross and Hart Memorial trophy. The Art Ross is for most points and the Hart is for MVP. He got these trophies on the San Jose sharks team. He also was captain for 7 all-star games in a row. An all-star game is when stars of the whole hockey league come together and vs each other West vs East. I relate to Joe Thornton because i have won awards to i got MVP in my elementary hockey team and. and i also scored the most goals out of anybody in the season.

My hero is important to me because switching to another team doesn't affect how he plays. He plays hockey really good. But now since he has been on the sharks for awhile it also amazes me how he makes a lot of new friends just like that. Sorta like me! It's also interesting how he is constant about his play style and rarely messes up.

Overall, I picked this hero because i can closely relate to him. And because of how good of a hockey player he is, at passing, shooting and overall just being captain. I also picked this player because he is on the sharks team, which is my favorite team. if i didn't see Joe Thornton play on the sharks then i wouldn't have enjoyed hockey. He inspired me to love hockey and to play well by how good he is on the ice.
