Jesse McCartney

Jesse McCartney is born on April 9, 1987, in Westchester, New York. He is an actor and a singer and loves doing both. He currently stars in Keith, Horton Hears A Who, Tinker Bell, and many others TV shows. Jesse already has 2 albums out, Beautiful Soul and Right Where You Want Me. It is said that he will be releasing another album out by February 19, 2008. "At age fifteen, Jesse finally began work on a solo career with a local band under the management of Ginger McCartney, his mother, and Sherry Goffin Kondor, who co-produced his first album, Beautiful Soul."

In 2004, Jesse McCartney participated in a charity single called "Come Together Now", to benefit the victims of the 2004 Asian Tsunami and the 2005 Hurricane Katrina. In 2005, McCartney signed on as an official supporter of Little Kids Rock, a nonprofit organization that provides free musical instruments and free lessons to children in public schools throughout the U.S.A. He sits on its board of directors as an honorary member. He has also donated proceeds of his 2005 tour for disaster relief, recorded radio spots promoting the "Kids For A Drug-Free America" campaign, is a spokesperson for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and is involved in the charity SPACE, which was co-founded by a childhood friend of his mother's. Jesse also performed at the Hope Rocks concert in 2005 to benefit City of Hope Cancer Center." ~ Wikipedia

Out of all those many great things that Jesse McCartney had done for children and all the people in need, the greatest of them all is his donations to disaster relief. It may not seem like a big thing to donate money to disaster relief, but it is a very hard thing to do. It's mostly hard because you are giving up all the hard earned money that you made. Most celebrities aren't usually found giving away ALL of their tour proceeds to disaster relief. Most are just found keeping it all and only giving away a tiny portion of their large bank accounts. So I think that it takes a whole lot of a person to be willing to give up all of the money and give to disaster relief.

I chose Jesse McCartney because I truly feel that he understands the importance of generosity and giving to those in need. He never holds back but gives it his all. He is always striving to do bigger and better things. Jesse is always trying to improve, not only with his music and films, but with the charities and organizations. Since 2004, Jesse has been sincerely and deeply involved in over 7 charity cases. Jesse is not one to talk the talk, but he definitely walks the walk. Not every celebrity is willing to give up all of his tour's proceeds to disaster relief. Not every celebrity is willing to support Little Kids Rock, and not every celebrity is as dedicated as he is to making the world a better place for the needy ones.

Although many people might not think Jesse McCartney as a hero, I personally do. Jesse McCartney has done so many things and given so much time, effort, and money that is not recognized for. I truly take Jesse McCartney as my hero.
