I did Joan of Arc, as my hero. She was born on January 6, 1412, in Domremy, France, in a farmhouse. Joan of Arc had a really interesting life as a child, she was very religious, went to church everyday, was very Catholic, she was a really good friend with the local priest. Along with her interesting life, she also won many battles and led many battles. She began to hear voices of angels at the age of 13, but also she could see them regularly and family and friends thought she was going insane. Joan told them that God wanted her to lead a holy army to free France.
Joan of Arc went to gain the acceptance to the Charles VII of France. People thought that her success was the “Devil's” work but why would people think that her success was the “Devil's” work? That is what I don’t get? Shortly before the end of the war she was imprisoned. You know what was really sad? That she was burned at the stake as a martyr and buried in a pauper’s grave. In the end, all of Joan of Arc’s missions came true.
Joan was a typical peasant girl; she loved to attend her father’s farm. She had also heard some more voices, but not from Angels, but from “Saint Margaret, Saint Catherine and Saint Michael." On May 30th, 1431, Joan of Arc was ordered to be killed, but why would they want to kill Joan of Arc? It wasn’t like she did anything wrong. Four hundred years later, a Catholic church called her, Joan of Arc. After a while, people started calling her Saint Joan of Arc. But after all she wasn’t a hero all her life and that is why she is my hero
