Michael Jordan is the best NBA player of all time to me. He’s like a hero to me. He is a huge role model to almost every kid that has ever played or liked basketball. Michael Jordan was always my favorite basketball player. I don’t know how he got so amazing at the sport. Basketball wasn’t the only sport Michael Jordan played though. He also played baseball and golf. Michael is a very athletic man who has inspired many people with his talent.

Michael wasn’t always good at basketball. When he was young he was just an average basketball player. In fact he got cut from his high school varsity team. He wasn’t ready to quit just yet though. When he got cut from his team he knew he would have to start practicing more. He would practice in the gym every morning before school started.

Did you know that Michael’s favorite number was 6? His favorite number was six because that’s how many championship rings he won in the NBA. He was a great player and could play almost any position. He was great at shooting, playing defense and being able to play great when it came down to a few seconds left in the game. Michael won MVP four times, NBA finals six times, and won defensive player of the year one time. His famous quote is “I can accept failure but I can’t accept not trying.”

My hero (Michael Jordan) can relate to the book A Hero’s Trail because a hero doesn’t have to be someone like Spider Man. It’s anyone who is important and Michael is important. I would say that Michael Jordan is a “hero on the spot”. He’s that kind of hero because whenever his basketball team needs him he’s “on the spot” to save his team. For example when Michael Jordan played for the Bulls there was this one game where his team was down by 2 points with little time left on the clock. To save his team Michael shot a 3-point buzzer beater shot to win the game for his team.

This is only some of the many reasons why Michael Jordan is such a great hero to me. You should think about who your hero is if you don’t know who it is yet. Make sure your hero is someone very special to you or if you like them greatly. Michael Jordan is my hero because I like him a lot. He’s my favorite basketball player and the best.
