Kurt Cobain is my hero. One reason is he was the leader of a good band. The next reason is he had a tough life, but persevered for a while. The last reason is he tried to make a good home for his daughter. Those are the reasons Kurt Cobain is a good hero.

Kurt Cobain was the leader of a good band. Nirvana (the band he was in) was hired by MTV to do a show (board of trustees, W). Nirvana put out four very successful albums. Kurt Cobain went on several continental tours (board of trustees, W). Nirvana had made very influential music for the next generation.

Kurt Cobain had a hard life but persevered for the most part. Kurt Cobain’s parents were divorced (board of trustees, W). The kids at his schools weren’t very kind to him. Kurt Cobain was born in Aberdeen, a dying logging town (www.burnout.com, W). Kurt dad wasn’t even all that great to him, he ignored him for the most part. The Cobains (Courtney and Kurt) wanted a better life for their daughter than either of them had.

Kurt tried to make a good home for his daughter. The Cobains wanted to have custody of Francis when the hospital threatened to take her away (board of trustees, W). Kurt and Courtney Cobain both cared about Francis a lot. Kurt Cobain had tried to quit heroin for Francis. The Cobains tried to spend quality time with her when they could.

Kurt Cobain is a good hero. An extra reason is he practiced a lot. Every night he practiced for 1-3 hours. Kurt Cobain will never be forgotten.
