Kimberly Emory was born in Glendale, CA. People may call her "Mrs. Emory" or "Kim" but I like to call her "Mom"! My mom is a 1st grade school teacher at Oakhills Elementary School in Granite Bay, CA. She has taught for over fifteen years over all! To me and a lot of other people she is one of the nicest, kindest and most generous people you could ever meet.

Kimberly Emory grew up in Glendale with her one sister and her parents. During my mom's childhood she grew up like any other kid in her time. But when my mom was in her teens she had a sad thing happen in her family. Her sister named Kelli Michal Rush unexpectedly passed away. This was very sad for her family. Many years later my mom had gone to Chico State, got two BA degrees in teaching and Speech Pathology and Audiology. She then met my dad, Duane Emory.

In 1989 my parents got married. About six years later my parents had Me and my two sisters. My mom is my hero because she has done many great things in her life such as having a great education, and being brave enough to stand up for what she believes in. She is also very she is kind and cares about others. She is also there for me whenever I need her help. It's common for her to be there to help me with my homework or even if I have boy troubles. I also like when she gives me advice on life and on sport activities. My mom takes me wherever I need to go. She also travels with me all over the country because of my karate tournaments. We have gone to Washington D.C, Georgia, Florida, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Kentucky, Canada, Minnesota, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado and I will be visiting Guatemala and France in the next year or so.

My mom is my role model because she is always a nice and generous person and helps people in need. To me that is the coolest thing anyone could do and I want to be that kind of person when I grow up. My grandma says that I have my mom's smile and I have the same personality that my mom has which she says is a good thing. It's really cool that my mom is a teacher because she can relate from personal things in life to her kids in the classroom. My mom has always been there and helped me with homework, sports, and just being there when I need a break.

Kimberly Emory inspires me to be a better person every day. She is an outstanding person and has made a difference in my life by being the best mom I could ever want. I love my mom very much and glad that she's my mom.
