Katie Stickel

DEFINITION- A hero, in my mind, is a person who helps your through your life. Somebody who you honestly think you could not live without.

I think it's important to have a hero because a hero can also be somebody you admire and look up to. It's good to have a role-model in life.

MY PERSONAL HERO- My mom is my hero. She's raised me my whole life and has always been there for me. She helps me make good decisions and stay out of trouble. If she was not in my life to help me I would be lost.

Hall Of Fame- I think you should induct Katie Stickel into the Hall of Fame for many reasons. She's an all around good person who makes good decisions. She's been through enough experiences in her life that when it comes to giving me advice, she almost always knows what to say. She puts other people before herself. I look up to her a lot and am glad that she pushes me to be the best person I can be. Somebody who has made that much of an impact on a fifteen year old's life deserves to be in a Hall of Fame.

In interview with my mom, Katie Stickel, I asked her who her personal hero was. At first, she said Amy Reeves, a close family friend who lost her baby boy to cancer. She thought about it more and changed her mind. She said her dad was her hero because he always made her feel safe. I also asked her if she had any siblings and if they were her hero at some point in her life. She answered yes, and said she had 2 older sisters and did consider them a hero. This made me wonder if maybe Amy or her dad hadn't been her hero her entire life, so i asked how many heroes she's had. She said probably around 10. All ten were really good people and she still does look up to them. My mom said her biggest accomplishment is her job which shows she's a hard working person. She thinks that her biggest strength is her good people skills but her weakness is procrastination. Finally, I asked her if she thought she was a hero. She thought for a while... and then answered "I hope I am to my daughter" which is ironic since that's why I asked her the interview.
