Kazuyoshi Miura

My hero Kazuyoshi Miura is a Japanese professional soccer player who belongs to the Yokohama Football Club. He is known by the name Kazu. He is 44 years old, a record for the oldest Japanese soccer player. Kazu made many miracles, have great achievement and helped many people.

Firstly, Kazu have made many great illustrious achievements. He played national team match in 1992-2000 and finished with the most career score in national team history with 55 goals in 89 matches. In 1993 Kazu got three big titles: Asian Footballer of the Year, Japan Professional Sports Grand Prize and Japanese Footballer of the Year. He was the first one to play in Italy league Series A. I’ve been doing my best trying to catch up with him since I started playing soccer.

Secondly, he has performed many miracles. On March 11th, 2011, Japan was hit by the worst earthquake and tsunami ever recorded. Kazu put together a charity match opened for collecting donations. Kazu was a member of this team. Before starting the charity match Kazu declared he would get a goal and do the Kazu dance. The Kazu dance is his original performance after scoring goals. It is very popular and a lot of kids copy his performance. I thought he would not be able score in this game because Kazu scored just three goals last season. But he scored goals and did the Kazu dance. I think this goal and dance gave hope to Tohoku earthquake and tsunami victims.

Finally, Kazu helped a lot of people. After the earthquake occurred he wanted to do something for the victims. So Kazu visited many places and donated a lot of money for the victims. Many people just donate money but he didn’t. He is respectable in every way.

Kazuyoshi Miura is my hero because he's performed many miracles, made great achievements, and helped many people. I will do my best trying to catch up with Kazu. I want to be like him and make many miracles, accomplish many great achievements and help many people.
