Can you kill a bear or a lion or how about a giant at the age of around 13 with just a slingshot? He was just a shepherd at 13, killing bears and lions to protect his cattle with a slingshot which is unbelievable because not even a regular weapon can kill a bear - also can't kill a giant at nine feat tall. This man is David, my hero.

David was a courageous boy that grew up into a courageous king. He killed bears and lions to protect his cattle in a place by himself at the age of thirteen. Before he was king also at age of around thirteen, he killed Goliath with a slingshot then beheaded him with Goliath's own sword. That’s the courage he had as a teenager - imagine him as a king.

As a leader David was captain before king. He became captain by killing Goliath and the people sang songs of David as a hero of Israel. He was born to be king by direct lineage of Ruth. He was a good leader by winning every single battle he was as king and captain.

He cared so much about his people that he protected them from the Philistine, Goliath. As a King, David’s sins reflected back on his sons life Absalom, his son tried to take over his kingdom so he had him killed for the sake of Israel. David killed his own son to keep Israel safe from dictatorship.

In exile David had the support of 600 men and was brave to show King Saul he could kill him at anytime. He spared Saul's life because of his heart. His sins against God always made him ask God for forgiveness because of his pure heart and for the fear of the Lord. David my hero is everything I want to be like and this is why he’s my hero.
