Ludwig Van Beethoven

by Angelia from Fresno

Who is my hero? I'd say, Ludwig Van Beethoven. Why? Because as a great musician as himself, he was applauded even with big difficulties that could have taken his career away.

Ludwig Van Beethoven was born in Bonn. His exact date of birth is somewhat, still unknown, although, a few signs of his birthday was celebrated on December 16, in which people took that as his date of birth. Beethoven's father was his first teacher in music. He had various others as well. Soon after, March 1778, he had his very first performance at the age of 7.

Near the year 1796, Beethoven developed "Tinnitus." A ringing in his ear which made it difficult for Beethoven to hear music, and, in favor of that development, Beethoven had composed himself to try and avoid conversations. The cause of his hearing loss is yet to be known. The information of Beethoven's autopsy was, he had formed over a lesion of time a "Distended inner ear."

Beethoven, from April to October 1802, he had written a testament to his brothers, in which, were thoughts of suicide. At the end of his Ninth Symphony performance, he turned and heard tumultuous applause from his audiences. His loss of hearing did not stop his career, but it did whatsoever, make performing more difficult. In 1814, Beethoven was almost completely deaf. He performed for a group of visitors. The group remarked that, "Ist es nicht schon," meaning," It is not beautiful." They felt sympathy for Beethoven.

Beethoven's return to Vienna, was his "Middle," and or, "Heroic" age. He, himself said that he was not satisfied with his earlier works and planned to do better. 1810, he was entitled with "Romantic." His Fifth Symphony was said to be." One of the most important works of the age." He was bedridden for most of his last remaining breathes in the world. He died in March 26, 1827. Although there may seem nothing much heroic about Beethoven, he fought to be preserved and wanted to prove that he was worth something. Illnesses and such were but motivation to try harder to make astounding music.
