Louis Chevrolet is for sure a Renaissance person. Louis Chevrolet is a renaissance person because he had created a new way of transportation and he pushed the limits of art, science, and technology. Louis Chevrolet was born December 25, 1878 in La Chaux-De-Fonds Neuchatel Switzerland (Wilkson, Sylvia). Louis Chevrolet helper organize the Chevrolet Motor Company in 1911 with his friend William C. Durant from G.M (General Motors). Louis Chevrolet designed and built the Chevrolet Motor Company's first automobile.

When Louis Chevrolet was a teenager he had entered local bicycle races. Louis usually won the races he entered. Louis Chevrolet as a teenager had built a bicycle and named it the Frontenac a name that would later be used a an automobile name. Louis had also invented a wine barrel pump.

Louis Chevrolet is a well leading figure in automobile racing. Louis built racing cars. His Monroe and Frontenac two of the cars that he had built won the Indianapolis 500 mile race both in 1920 and 1921(Wilkson, Sylvia). Louis Chevrolet was the first car builder to win two Indianapolis 500 mile race. Louis was elected to be in the automobile racing hall of fame.

Louis Chevrolet is a Renaissance person because he pushed the limits of art, science, and technology. Louis is innovative because he created a new way of transportation. Louis Chevrolet is a Renaissance person also because he had done so much in the racing business that will be remembered.
