Leonardo DiCaprio, an American actor, also an known as an environmentalist, is helping the issue of climate change. Climate change is a long term increase in the earth's temperature. Leonardo DiCaprio is determined and passionate about the environment and is looking for some change around the world.  Leonardo DiCaprio was born on November 11, 1974 growing up in Hollywood, California. Leonardo DiCaprio enjoys his acting career as well as being interested in the environment: "As well as DiCaprio's huge fan base, the actor brings more than two decades of his passion and experience of campaigning on climate change" (Vaughan). With Dicaprio's fan base he can easily publicize and make a bigger change with the help of his fans supporting him. He is an inspiration from movies he has been featured in, and the awards he has won from his acting career, but Leonardo DiCaprio is a hero because, he is currently trying to change the issue of climate change in our world.

DiCaprio has his own foundation to help climate change called: "Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation." He has announced many problems about the environment and he is trying to come up with more ways to change the issues. His effort with his foundation represents how much he cares and how determined he is to help climate change: "The only way we can avert disaster is by innovating, implementing, and scaling up the solutions to these problems as quickly as possible. One solution that is poised to address global overfishing and illegal fishing is the new platform Global Fishing Watch" ("Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation"). Leonardo DiCaprio has made many goals to help the issue, also has gotten many people to team up with him. Having a new access to "Global Fishing Watch" really improves the issue because they can now see the marine life and making sure the all the living species are safe from climate change: "Our conversation focused on how to create millions of secure, American jobs in the construction and operation of commercial and residential clean, renewable energy generation," Terry Tamminen, the chief executive officer of the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation who also attended the meeting, said in a statement" ("Leonardo DiCaprio, Trump talk"). The foundation is creating renewable energy and using solar energy, which is always reusable because it's more natural, unlike fossil fuel which cannot be renewable, and is also bad for the environment. Leonardo DiCaprio is very determined to help the environment with his foundation.

Leonardo DiCaprio is going to an extent about his care for the world. One of his goals is to have clean renewable energy around the world be used. This is heroic because his passion about the environment is what people look up to and appreciate: "As a group we have galvanized unprecedented action for our oceans, protecting millions of square kilometers, an area more than twice the size of India, we've elevated these issues to a global stage, and we've educated our leaders also the public on how much our climate, food security, economic security, and ultimately our future on this planet depends on the health of our oceans" ("Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation"). Leonardo DiCaprio stated his goals, and accomplishments, for example helping a ocean bigger than India is saving marine life. His passion and effort is more than enough for this foundation: "Known as an environmentalist, DiCaprio has earned praise from a number of environmental organizations for his activism. DiCaprio also drives a hybrid car and utilizes solar power in his house" ("Leonardo DiCaprio"). DiCaprio has proved his passion by applying things to his everyday life that help his community. People around the world are inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio's thoughtfulness, which people find it heroic of him. His passion shows through his work and people are inspired from that and want to help the environment because of his successfulness.

Leonardo DiCaprio is an inspiration to people around the world for being an successful environmentalist who is helping to change the problems about climate change. He has set goals for his foundation that will help climate change and the affects it has: "In 2010, his environmental work earned him a nomination for the VH1 Do Something Award. In 2010, he also donated $1 million to help victims of the earthquake in Haiti" ("Leonardo DiCaprio"). His passion and determination makes him a good person, because he changes people's lives. He helps living things live in safer homes and that's what's most important to him as well as his foundation. Its big issue that a lot of people don't realize the major problems in the environment, but he is changing people's perspective on it. His goal is to help people understand the issue, and how they can make it better, which is inspiring and heroic. Leonardo DiCaprio and his foundation is impacting our world and lives positively as a hero.
