Liam Neeson has many reasons for his great accomplishments. He is a classic hero that has done many extraordinary things. He started performing in the 1970's. He is known for gaining popularity by being in many recent action films. He truly is a movie star. Liam Neeson was born on June 7, 1952 in Ballymena, Northern Ireland. He was born into a family that worked. His father's name was Barney, and his mother Kitty. His father worked as a custodian at a Catholic school, and his mother was a cook in the public school.

Neeson started out by getting into the amateur boxing career. He became the Northern Ireland champion three years later at 12 years old. He went against a person named British Boy. He finished the fight but suffered a blackout going upstairs. At 15 years old, Neeson quit the sport forever. Neeson tried to attend a teacher's college, but failed. Which would bring him to jobs such as a forklift operator for the Guinness brewery as an architect's student. He went into acting on a lark when he signed up for Belfast's Lyric Players' Theatre Company in 1976.

Neeson has succeeded in many things and has been noted for many of them. He has had tough times in his life, but he has persevered through them. I believe Neeson is my hero because he worked hard to get where he is. Neeson has integrity and dependability.

He went into acting on a lark when he signed up for Belfast's Lyric Players' Theatre Company in 1976. Neeson was engaged and married to actress Natasha Richardson on July 4, 1994. Then, tragically died on March 18, 2009. She had a severe head injury at the Mont Tremblant Resort, in Quebec. Natasha and Liam had two boys: Michael and Daniel. Neeson currently lives in Millbrook, New York. On August 2004 Liam and Natasha bought a 16 acres next to their estate.

Neeson quit smoking, he used to earlier in his career. When Neeson took the part of Hannibal for the 2010 version of The A-Team. Neeson had objections about smoking cigars (which is a signature personality of the Hannibal character), because he used to be a smoker, but agreed to keep that trait of Hannibal for the film. In the August of 2009, Neeson said on ABC's Good Morning America that he had been naturally a United States citizen. Neeson is a fan of Liverpool F.C. In the March of 2011, Neeson was placed as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.
