Lauren Froderman was born and raised in Pheniox, Arizona. At age 3 Lauren Froderman began dancing.  She also began doing Volunteer work at that time. At age 10 she auditioned for the Pheniox Rockettes.  In 2010 she graduated from High School and a few months later she Auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance.

Lauren Rose Froderman was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1991. When she turned 2 years old she began dancing around the house like a "Ballerina Princess". About a year later her mother put her into dance and at about that same time she began helping her mother with volunteer work. When she turned 4 she volunteered at a local animal shelter to help the animals. In her dance life she joined a competition team at her dance studio. She began getting recognized almost every year but when she turned 5 years old a broken ankle set her back a year.

At age 10 she became a Phoenix Rockette. Every week she would do 20 hours of dance, 12 hours of volunteer work and she went to public school too!  She did this continually for 4 years until she quit the Rockettes. When she quit she continued dancing and doing volunteer work. This helped her grow as a dancer and as a person.

In 2010 she graduated from Phoenix High School. A few months later she auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance and made the show so she had to quit volunteering. While she was on the show she made new friends (Such as Kent Boyd) and got to work with famous dancers and choerographers. She worked and worked until she made it into the top 3. They announced her name as "Americas Favorite Dancer" she won $250,000. The first thing that she was going to do was give her parents a vacation, the second thing that she was going to do was move to L.A. and the third thing she did was donate half of the money to charity. That year she was voted Gatorade's youngest and first dancer to win athlete of the year.

Lauren Froderman is my hero is because she is dedicated and determined to become the best that she can be. Another thing  is that she volunteered willingly out of her busy schedule to help people and animals in her community. She deserved what she got and that is why I respect her.
