A hero to me is someone who inspires you and never gives up. A hero should be honest and loyal to others. Not everyone can always be a hero. A hero should have a lot of character traits in their lives. Heroes can be heroes to some people but not to others. That is why I chose Lisa Leslie.

Lisa Leslie is my hero. She was born July 7, 1972 in Gardena, California. She was a WNBA player on the L.A. Sparks. She was a three-time MVP winner and a four-time Olympic gold winner. She has a husband and a little girl. She is African American. She is retired now.

Lisa Leslie was a very good sport. She had good sportsmanship. When someone on her team or an opponent got hurt she would help them up. Once in a while she would get angry, but that happens to everyone. She was very well spoken in her press interviews. She had a lot of character traits that I admire,a few are being kind, wise, and strong.

I think she has been a great person throughout her career. She has always been loyal and honest. She has never done something bad. I would love to be one of her teammates. She was a great person to everyone. I would love to be like her someday in my career. That is why she is my hero.
