Lionel Messi was born on June 24, 1987 in Rosario Argentina. He is the best soccer player in the world at this moment. Lionel Messi plays for Barcelona Football Club. Messi was signed by Barcelona FC when he was 8 years old on Newells Old Boys Club. He was a very excellent young soccer player who left an impression on the football club which led them to sign a contract with him. Lionel Messi has already become the best soccer player in the world and is already being compared to the Argentine legend, Diego Maradona, even at his young age.

Since 2009 Lionel Messi has been the best soccer player in the world. Messi had won the "Balon De Oro" three times in three consecutive years. Also Lionel Messi has been selected as the best soccer player for Barcelona FC history. One thing that makes Lionel Messi unique is that he was the first Argentine player to win 3 UEFA Champions League, 5 Super Copas and 5 Liga Tittles. Another important thing about Lionel Messi is that he won an Olympic gold medal with Argentina. Messi is a 6-time champion of goals in his current team Barcelona Fc.

Lionel Messi has a foundation for children that have cancer. Lionel Messi created this foundation with UNICEF to help all the children that have low income and cancer problems. Another thing about Lionel Messi is that he is the face of one of the most well-known brands in sports called Adidas. Messi has being sponsord by adidas since he started his career in Barcelona Fc in 2004.

Lionel Messi has been a great example for all soccer lovers. Messi is one of the highest paid athletes in the world. Another unique thing about Lionel Messi is that he was the first Barcelona Fc soccer player who scored 55 goals in the Liga tournament breaking the record of soccer legend Sir Alex Ferguson who now is the coach of one of the greatest soccer club rival of Barcelona Fc. Lionel Messi's dream is that one day he could win a World Cup with his national team Argentina.

Lionel Messi for me is my hero because I love soccer and I love watching Messi play. Another reason why Messi is my hero is because he plays for my favorite soccer club Barcelna FC. For me, Messi is the best soccer player because of what he has done in his career.  Also, Messi is my hero because I love the way he plays soccer, he is very fast and very good at dribbling the ball when he is running. I believe Lionel Messi will become a soccer legend when he retires from soccer. Lionel Messi is my hero.  I always look up to him because I hope one day I could become a great soccer player like him.
