What is a hero? A hero is someone who has a great success after he or she does something polite for someone or for him/herself. Heroes are from all over the world and can be just someone we don’t even no just an ordinary person or an celebrity. Some aren’t here today to look back on the things they did for the world. Everyone is a hero in a way.Abraham had a lot of courage and wisdom to help free the slaves, and make our country a little better than it was. Today you don’t see many slaves but in some state there will still be slavery going on.

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12,1809 in Hodgenville, Harden County, Kentucky and died on April 15,1865, he was also the 16th president from 1861-1865. He was shot at Fords Theatre in Washington, D.C. by an actor named John Wikes Booth. He was married to a woman named Mary Todd Lincoln. Lincoln’s mom, Nancy Hanks Lincoln died from milk sickness on 1818 and his dad later died on 1851. Abraham Lincoln helped to end slavery and he also helped in the civil war for the United States.

Abraham was a guy who stood up to a lot of people and would except people for who they are. He looked like a guy who would do the right thing and if he were here today a lot of kids would look up to him. A lot of people still do when you think about it. People from all around the world want to be like him, a president who freed slaves and ran for the US house of Representitives and won. He never left anybody behind, he was like a never leave anybody behind guy. That is an awesome hero!

Abraham is a hero to others near and far because there were slaves all over the world that he freed. To be this hero he contributed a lot of things to people near and far. Lincoln grew up to be something he didn’t know he was going to be such as a president of the United States or a man to free slaves. It took courage, wisdom, and he never gave up he kept trying.

I am glad that Abraham made some tough decisions and he made the right ones. He was a president for a while so he is very well known. Many people support him then and now. Lincoln was an excellent leader because he took charge and knew what he was going to do when he did it.His bravery got him very far and it also got him in to being a great president. Heroes are not always perfect because Lincoln did not always win every thing he tried. Only god is perfect. Freedom is something.
