At the age of twelve Methodius Buslayev learns that he is the future ruler of the Dark. He won his power in the moment of birth - during the solar eclipse. At the invitation of the witches Ulitka Buslayev comes to the Moscow residence of the Dark, where he is taken into training by Arey, the Baron of the Dark.

On his thirteenth birthday Methodius is to go through the Eternal Tournament Grounds Temple maze and find something that has been stored there since the birth of the world. At the same time Daphne the Light Guard, living in Eden, is sent to the human world to accompany Methodius and study at Ares. So begins the story of Methodius Buslaev. He will have to go through many trials before he finally chooses the right side and goes his own way.
