Missy Franklin

Missy Franklin is a great sports hero. She always tries her best and has won many awards both at her public school and at the Olympics. Missy Franklin co operates with her team mates during practice and when they swim relay races. She also is kind to her team mates and shows respect. Sports are a big part of her life, especially swimming.

Missy Franklin's birthday is May 10th 1996. She is 17 years old . Her birth place was Pasadena, California, USA. She goes to high school in Colorado, and has accepted an athletic scholarship to the University of California, Berkeley. She is an Olympic swimmer for the United States. She is hard working because she works out for 2 to 4 hours.

Missy Franklin's Mom influenced her to swim at age 5. Her mom wanted her to learn how to swim because she did not. One of her challenges is to swim 5k to 6k a day. She hopes to go to the Olympics again. My hero overcame the obstacles by practising every day to make her get better.

My hero competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics . She won lots of gold and a bronze medal. She swam the 100m back stroke in 58.33 seconds and the 200 m backstroke in 2:04.06 winning a gold medal in both. She swam a relay with her teammates in freestyle and they finished first winning another gold medal. Missy Franklin's strokes are Backstroke and Freestyle .

Missy Franklin is hardworking because she swims 5k to 6k each day and at competitions. She co- operates with her teammates. She shows kindness because she is kind to her teammates and others. She shows empathy because she cheers on her teammates. Also she is Responsible because she is responsible for all her things and responsible for remembering all her swim stuff for her practices and when she goes to the Olympics.

Missy Franklin influenced me to always try my best. In swimming she works as hard as she can and does not give up and I want to be like her. She also influenced me to swim the best I can. Because she is a swimmer and tries her best to.
